I am here if you ever want to chat. God does not love us less because we arrived at a difficult place through our own choices. None of us are perfect. Life has challenges and we have to work through them, either self-inflicted or beyond our control. God meets us where we are at and is here to help us heal. The Father who ran to meet the prodigal son did not first calculate how much of the suffering was self-inflicted. He simply welcomed him home.
Oh thank you so much. That is the best story I can think of to study next. I will definitely look into the New Testament and Jesus parables next. I wonder if there is also a significant parable or example that would mirror a mother daughter relationship.
I often think of Naomi and Ruth. It’s a story of grief, devotion, restoration, and walking together through difficult seasons. Their relationship becomes part of God’s larger redemptive story.
